Our Story

Haguruka Mtoto is a non-governmental organization that was established in the year 2021 by local people of Kijura town council –Kabarole district, Uganda. Directors namely, Byaruhanga Dennis, Kwizera Alex and Mugabirwe Sarah saw it important to start up such an organization so as to help the vulnerable orphans since they also grew up as orphans but were raised up and educated by other people in the community who felt it was important. From this point of view, directors felt important also to extend a hand back to their communities from their little resources hence forth forming Haguruka Mtoto. The name literally meaning Raising children together. Its purpose is to empower vulnerable children and teenage mothers by enhancing their knowledge, talents, ability, experience and skills, sponsoring them in school and training technical skills in accordance with the new curriculum.
